As International Advisor to the Global Association Hubs partnership, Martin works with specialist teams in Brussels, Dubai, Singapore and Washington DC to assist international associations in achieving their strategic development goals, and to highlight the unique association-friendly ecosystems in the partner destinations.

Through his consultancy, Sirk Serendipity, Martin also undertakes strategic advisory and meeting design projects for a wide range of business events companies and international associations, such as IMEX, SITE, Destinations International, UFI, International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the International Association for the Study of Pain, and is also a long-term advisor to tech start-ups Wordly Inc (the AI-driven 20+ language interpretation specialist) and content curation experts Kubify.  From 2002 to 2018, Martin served as CEO of ICCA, the International Congress and Convention Association.

His areas of expertise and interest include meeting design, association strategy and development, social and economic impact of meetings, destination marketing, networking theory, and the future evolution of the business events sector.  He is a regular contributor to Boardroom magazine and other media platforms, and is an in-demand moderator of online and face-to-face meetings.
